HYPERHYDROSIS 

Excess sweating, also know as hyperhidrosis, can be effectively treated using Botulinum toxin, (BOTOX®).

Dr Kersh at 23MD Clinic provides effective  injections to help reduce excessive sweating.

When severe sweating gets in the way of certain daily activities and antiperspirants are not working, you may be a suitable candidate forthis treatment. The body areas that can commonly experience over active sweat glands are: the under arms, palms, feet and forehead.

Botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) is injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating when other medicines used on the skin (topical) do not work well enough in people 18 years and older.

You will start seeing and feeling the results at about 1-2 weeks after having the treatment. And you may get UP TO 201 DAYS OF DRIER UNDERARMS can be achieved using this method.

Studies have shown that 57 out of 104 BOTOX® treated patients (55%) achieved an effective response, compared with only 6 out of 108 patients (6%) not treated with BOTOX®.

84 out of 104 BOTOX® treated patients (81%) achieved a greater than 50% reduction in sweating, compared with only 44 out of 108 patients (41%) not treated with BOTOX®

Although it is recommended to have the treatment every 6 months to receive the best possible results, you will know when the time is right for another treatment. If you decide not to have further treatment, your sweating will gradually return to its pre-treated state.
